I was the primary designer tasked with developing a new logo and several print and digital collateral options for the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment. I presented design concepts and overall design direction to executive-level staff for input and approval.
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office
OEHHA and Program Logo Re-Design
I presented the Executive Staff at OEHHA and the team at UC Davis with re-designed concepts of the OEHHA logo. The team asked for a new logo that incorporates existing elements in a modernized way. Two concepts were created for the team, both based on the existing logo, and one incorporated a human (science) element.
Final Logo
The client chose this option as the final logo because it incorporated everything from the existing logo and added a human/science element. I provided the client with three different lock-ups for use on a variety of materials and backgrounds. I also worked with a local sign maker to created new acrylic signage for the OEHHA office.
OEHHA Public Fish Advisory
The OEHHA Public Fish Advisory was based on an existing illustration created by a design agency. I was responsible for re-designing the layout and updating various graphics based on existing assets.
Challenge: Present the information in a clear and easy-to-understand format for different gender and age groups.
Testing: We tested several iterations of the fish advisory with different layouts with users at public fishing docks. I worked with the team at UC Davis to revise the content based on user research results.
Result: This is the current iteration and final layout based on our research data.
Fish Advisory App, Concept and Explorations
I worked with the Executive Staff at OEHHA and the team at UC Davis to develop app concepts for a fish advisory app. We incorporated elements from the physical advisory and pertinent information users identified during user research.
CalEnviroScreen Logo
The OEHHA team also asked me to create a logo for the online screening tool, CalEnviroScreen. Below is the logo we developed, as well as a fully illustrated version intended for web use.
